We spray painted metal towers and covered shelves with white wood grain contact paper to lighten up this dark set. Quite easy to put together with two people with half stands propped on ottoman. Did put together top and bottom with holes facing wrong way and had to remove and flip one bottom tower so that joining screws found holes. Very wobbly and definitely anchored to wall on either side. I only deed the 2 shelf bookcase. It was fairly easy to put together. The instructions were clear. I was able to put it together by myself in about an hour. It looks nice. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it is particle board with a sort of paper veneer, almost like Contac paper.
