Update I had the item for three days and have not moved it from where it was delivered and set up by Wayfair delivery personnel. They had it completely covered and wrapped during delivery as well, but they didn’t ask me to inspect the piece before they left. It was not knocked or damaged in any way by me. However, a small sharp piece of veneer on the front of the bottom drawer was splintered and impossible to see because of the dark color of the piece and caught on a blanket. I removed the blanket gently and the piece of veneer came off completely. I contacted Wayfair 1 day later and they said they couldn’t do anything due to the amount of time since delivery. Delivered Monday. Issue reported Friday. This is a qualitymaterialmanufacturing issue. At this price point, it should not be. And Wayfair is unwilling to offer anything kind of solution. That says something of both Wayfair and product quality. Original review This dresser is even better in person! It is sturdy and well made. It was a lot larger than it appeared, and that was great. There is a lot of space in the drawers for sweaters, jeans, and blouses. It is a tall, wide dresser, and the color is dark with gold accents on the front. There is generous storage, and the first drawer is lined with velvet. We were looking for something with more of a vertical footprint to make space in our bedroom and this was just right, size-wise. It looks great too, and it's nice to have real wood. Assembly took quite a bit of time, especially since there weren't predrilled holes for a lot of the screws, but it all came together. As others noted, it's good to be aware that the back panel is unfinished, so this dresser must be set up against a wall (which is necessary for safety anyway, with a secure fastener included). I’m really happy with this 46” farmhouse 5 drawer dresser. It’s tall but doesn’t take up too much floor space, which worked perfectly for my room. The drawers slide smoothly and hold more than I expected. I like the arched base detail, it gives it character without doing too much.
