Great little shelf for the bedside in a guest room, with a style that will go traditional, farmhouse, rustic or arts and craft looks. It's a taupe color with some roughing in the edges. I plat to add a bit of white. It didn't come with screws, but no problem there. I like the worn look, as so many shelves this size are too sharp angled and cold looking. I should have called Wayfair to confirm, that was my bad, but I must say the return process was expensive. It cost 11 for return shipping, I had to bring it to FedEx, I brought it in the original shipping box but because it was damaged (which is how I received it), they said I had to pay another 17 to have it put in a new box. I love the Argirdas Nell Accent Shelf! I painted the metal scrolled part a teal blue to match my new Wood Stove Hood which has Italian inspired tiles.
