I loved this table when we got it. There was a very large flaw about the size of a dollar bill that I decided to live with. Then the first time we used it my glass sweat on the surface and it left a mark. I thought it would dry, the mark remained. Every drip leaves a permanent mark. When I tried to wipe the whole area, I took the gray was off. That was unacceptable to me so I lightly sanded the surface, filled the hole, gray washeded the surface and then put a finish coat on the whole thing. This table is substantial and beautiful! The legs are beautifully shaped and solid. The finish on the top is similar to the finish on a grand piano-- it is black, streaks easily, and you cannot see any wood grain. Still, when we polish it carefully, it has an elegant gleam. The top and both leaves sustained damage in shipping. Wayfair offered us a discount and suggested a product to disguise it. Since the table is distressed anyway, we agreed. Id recommend this table if you have a large enough area and like SpanishCaribbean Colonial style. Ive paired it with brown leather, Spanish Revival chairs and it looks spectacular. Twofold review for the Lisa Extendable Dining Table AND for Wayfair's service! The original table as ordered arrived with a structural crack in the base, noticed by the delivery service when assembling. We contacted Wayfair *while the delivery service was still there,* and they 1) IMMEDIATELY ordered a replacement product, 2) had the delivery person to take back the defective product on the spot, and 3) issued a small refund for our inconvenience. The new product was confirmed to be re-ordered within an HOUR. I was truly thrilled with Wayfair's attention to service. The table itself (non-defective) is excellent, substantial, and well-represented by the photographs here. I honestly love it.
