I wish I knew the dimensions of the drop down before buying! It is not what I thought it was, but it is good for its intended purpose. I wish it would have stated the dimensions for the drop down panel. It is 15in x 8.75in. So if you have a really small sewing machine, it will work fine. Also, it is a little misleading. The panel doesnt drop and hide away the sewing machine. It drops down a max of 5.5in. So it is meant for dropping the sewing machine down so the table is level with the needle plate. So, it definitely works for that purpose for a small machine (you can see in the picture, there is no way I will be able to use the drop down feature). I have a Juki workhorse, so its not really what I wanted. But the lower shelf is big enough to fit my Juki, so I can have a fold out sewing machine desk and a place to hold my machine. Not exactly what I was looking for, but the price was decent. This cabinet is awesome!! Unfortunately my sewing machine with the dust cover doesnt fit on the under side shelf but Ive got in its carrier bag and that fits on top just fine. Assembly was super easy, took about 40 minutes total. Just wish the three shelves on the swing out door were able to hold more weight, but perfect for threads and parts for my machine.. Lisa. Once assembled it's a nice purchase, however the instructions are all in diagram. Would it kill anyone to use a few words for help? Took the two of us 3 hours to assemble and nit a happy 3 hours either. Sincerely hope the toggle lock system has created a solid build, time will tell. So far happy with the purchase.. Cheryl.
