While time consuming, the bed itself isn't hard to put together. If you have help you'll definitely finish faster. Took me an hour and I'm a woman. Only one flaw; the plugs are positioned in a way that two phone chargers can't be plugged together. One phone charger and my MacBook's plug can't coexist either, could've easily been solved by separating the outlets a tiny bit. Such a small detail that could've made this bed perfect otherwise. First photo, phone charger barely connects (it's lifted). Second photo, phone charged and MacBook charger can't be plugged together, as you can see the MacBook charger is making a false contact (no power). Got this bed for my son, the bed is a great fit for him and he likes the RGB lights and controls. I like that this bed has a plug in for the outlets that get mounted onto the bed so he can set up his devices and charge them going to bed. I built the bed myself and that is where I take a star away, the process is long and the bed comes in many parts. I made one small mistake and did not line up the holes correctly, luckily, I did not have to backtrack far, but it could pose a problem unless you are carefully following the directions (although it is mostly pictures). The bed is a nice bed, actually built well. The reason I gave it a 4 star is (1) the blue design around the bottom of the bed is deceiving. It is not like that in the picture. There are LED lights that go around the top of the wave, that is what I call it, but it does not shine like that. It just lights up the floor. You don't even see the wave as blue. (2) After it was put together I could not lower the lift frame at all to be able to put on the mattress. I messaged the help line, they were good but wanted me to send a bunch of videos. We managed to get the mattress on top of the lift as it was up in the air and then pulled down, hard and it went down. Quite a struggle but it worked. All in all we are happy with the bed.
