10” thick mattresses of good quality are hard to find especially in local stores. Serta came through on this one. Definitely not too soft. May add a topper later. I loved that I received the item within 24 hours. Unfortunately, upon receipt of the item, the bottom of the box was opened. Also the mattress is not cut true to size. Whoever said this mattress was soft, fight me, because y’all lied. The bed did fully inflate within the recommended 72 hours. It probably would have been ready around 24 hours, but we followed the directions and let it sit the full 72. It also had no smell, which was a plus.
