It seems like it’s a victim of shrinkflation. I replaced a 25 year old mattress with as close to the same thing as I could find and it was smaller than the orig. It seems comfy although the sides seem soft when getting out of bed. Not sure what I was expecting but it came in a box. I’m not sure how that does not damage the springs in the mattress. Virginia. We recently purchased a new mattress and it turned out to be not as soft as we'd hoped, so we purchased this mattress topper. It did come with some rust like marks on one side, but the other side looks just fine. I did tear it a little with my thumb when I was trying to position it better on the bed, which surprised me.
