This is, in general, a pretty good middle ground between higher-end, no-assembly-needed wood dressers and the build-yourself particle board/MDF stuff. It was fairly easy to assemble, BUT - get a drill. You will want it, even if you technically don't. Be prepared for some of the pre-drilled holes to be done badly/off axis - I had to drill a new hole at the right place/angle twice while constructing two of these dressers. The wood color is pretty nice, although I had hoped the pecan color would have been warmer/deeper. It is pine wood, so it is pretty soft, so you can scratch/dent it if you're not careful - but it's more robust than particleboard. The drawer slides seem perfectly adequate and I've had no issues. My biggest tip is to open the box outside or in your garage if you can - it is packaged with the cheapest, flakiest styrofoam I have ever seen, which will get everywhere. Ultimately, if you are handy with a drill this is an easy job, and I would give this 5/5 for the cheap closeout sale price I paid, but 3-4/5 stars at sticker price.. Hannah. San Ramon, CA.
