Accurate size, suitable for 6-8 people dining: The elliptical glass dining table has an overall size of 71 inches x 35.4 inches x 30 inches, a tabletop thickness of 0.4 inches, and a double cylindrical gold metal base (diameter 17 inches, spacing 14.6 inches). The standard height is suitable for most dining chairs and can comfortably accommodate 6-8 people dining at the same time.

I wasn't sure I'd like this table, but I decided to give it a go. I could always return it, I reasoned. But that ended up an unnecessary concern because the table is really, really nice. I did "distress" the gold metal with gold and black Rub 'n Buff. Doing so was ridiculously easy and created the look I wanted. If you zoom in on the attached photos and look at the top of the table, you'll see the metal as it originally appeared. I need to Rub 'n Buff them, too, but I need help moving the glass to do so.
