I was using my neighbors meat grinder that was probably purchased in the 70’s to grind some of my roast that were left from our 1/2 beef. I ran out of hamburger faster and didn’t have anymore. I was looking for something that could be apples to apples in design, weight and quality. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was fun to use, but the booklet is weird. The formatting is inconsistent and recipe amounts are not standardized. Sometimes it gives measurements in cups, sometimes, in grams, and sometimes in mL. It also sometimes explains how to make components, like simple syrup, but sometimes doesn’t, like water sugar. Overall the product seems good, but the instruction booklet left much to be desired. We made the mango sherbet but with strawberries instead of mang, and it was delicious but hard to scrape out of the container because the edges froze more than the middle. It also was very hard when fully frozen, so that made serving difficult. Most recipes are cooked, cooled 8 hours, churned, and frozen 2-4 hours, so plan ahead.. Amyc. Wed Apr 22 2026
