I think this is a very attractive piece of furniture. It looks like it could be an antique or modern! For me, it works very well in my office and holds quite a bit. I assembled it without help and it took about two hours. I did use an electric drill and as others have mentioned, it took a bit of finagling to get the doors straight. The faux shagreen is well done, and we found that ours had a light gray finish that was true to the listing photos. The doors open easily, close securely, and are well aligned. The metal frame bottom feels sturdy, as do the shelves inside. If we had one complaint, it's that ours needed to be aired out for several weeks; it came with a very strong, unpleasant odor, (noticeable only when one of the doors was open). Overall, we are very happy with this purchase. recently purchased this sideboard from Wayfair, and overall, I’m very pleased with the piece. It’s absolutely beautiful — the design is elegant, and the texture of the wood adds a touch of sophistication to my space. The size is just perfect for my small apartment, offering plenty of storage without taking up too much room. It blends nicely with my existing furniture, creating a warm and modern look that I really love. The craftsmanship feels solid, and the color tone is exactly as pictured online, which is something I truly appreciate. However, the only issue I encountered was that the sideboard arrived with a few noticeable scratches on its surface. They’re not extremely deep, but they are visible enough to make me feel disappointed, especially considering how much I was looking forward to receiving this piece in perfect condition. For a product of such beautiful design and at this price point, I expected better quality control during packaging or handling. Despite this flaw, I still think it’s a gorgeous and functional piece of furniture that fits my home perfectly. We were looking for something in mixed colors of wood and this provides. The sides, top and legs are black. It provides a ton of storage space. Given the price point I wasn’t expecting high quality wood, but I am a little disappointed with an area on top where the finish is a little messed up. Im not sure if the picture will show that..
