I ordered this GORGEOUS rug to replace a slightly smaller rug that had seen better days! The weave and color are beautiful and 6 months later - haven't seen any sign of wear and tear. This is a beautiful rug! It is very thick and feels like a great big sweater for the floor. It is very soft to walk on. The colors are varying shades of beige, but on the lighter side. Really beautiful rug that's soft on the feet. It does not have a stiff backing so it can bunch a little if there's no nonslip pad underneath. I just got it and have not seen the shedding others talked about, but it is interesting in that from the long side, you can clearly see cream and tan stripes, but from the short side, it looks the same..
