The 12-inch. pieces interlock together easily. No digging is involved simply anchors in the provided anchor nails for long-term stability. Easier to create curves/angles than 4 ft. options. Smaller pieces virtually eliminate the need for cutting. 4 ft. rubber is very difficult to cut to length, 12 in. option works wonders 24 nails are included with the order. No digging involved.

I received the product on time and at first glance it looked satisfactory. The metal edging itself is strong and seems like it would be durable. Unfortunately, the hardware and stakes included with it are extremely poor quality. The nuts and bolts that connect the edging pieces together were the biggest issue. Several nuts didn’t fit the bolts correctly, stripped almost immediately, and a few were the completely wrong size. This results in weak, unreliable joints at the connection points. The included “8‑inch stakes” are essentially just galvanized nails. They do not stay in the ground, and as you install the edging, they pull out easily. To make the product usable, I had to go to the hardware store and create my own stakes. I purchased 12 galvanized landscaping stakes, used a vice to round the ends, and added additional handmade stakes to the center of each edging piece. Only then did the edging feel secure. Overall, I cannot recommend this product due to the cheap hardware and ineffective stakes. The metal edging itself seems decent, but the components required to actually install it are terrible. I wish I had purchased a different brand. I was unable to return it because I discovered the hardware issues during installation and didn’t have time to remove everything and start over.
