I prefer porcelain dinnerware because it is lighter weight than stoneware and doesn’t get hot in the microwave. (It does warm slightly with longer cook times but doesn’t burn fingers like stoneware can.) The pattern on this dinnerware is really pretty. I like the two sizes of bowls. I have wanted new dinnerware for a year when I saw this pattern. I didn’t want cups, total waste for me and I wanted the double bowls. These are just fun. I know the color is different for some and I would have liked a tab more green in the tone but it’s impossible to create a color that works for everyone. The picture with the plant shows the tone the best. This is a muted color. Heavy, thick with intentional variations in the design. I’m thrilled and order two sets. Arrived in perfect condition..
