Assembly was a little tricky because the leaf did not align with the pre-drilled holes. Moving the hardware fixed this. The pedestal for the table to sit on is attractive and easy enough to put together if you turn it sideways and not straight up and down, the top was easy to assemble, but there seems to be less than perfection in the adjoining pieces of the two table tops and whatever I tried, I could not get the entire length to close completely however, it’s still beautiful. We put a runner down the length of the seam in the two tops and you can’t see it and it feels really strong and sturdy and as attractive and easy enough to assemble if you have some Mechanical ability that’s all.. WOW!!! I love the table but there is a definite stability issue. I warn anyone sitting down or standing next to it to NOT PUT ANY PRESSURE ON THE TABLE FOR FEAR IT WILL TIP OVER. That’s SAD. I did put a beveled glass top on it hoping the weight would help to stabilize it. I still don’t trust it at all and I make sure anything sitting on the table is placed at the center. Very nice table. Easy to assemble. Nice and sturdy. It does not look or feel cheap at all. Doesn’t seem to scratch easily. It looks like real wood and the staining is a nice color that I would say is true to online. The one thing I will mention is that the top and the base are shipped separately.
