The pedestal for the table to sit on is attractive and easy enough to put together if you turn it sideways and not straight up and down, the top was easy to assemble, but there seems to be less than perfection in the adjoining pieces of the two table tops and whatever I tried, I could not get the entire length to close completely however, it’s still beautiful. We put a runner down the length of the seam in the two tops and you can’t see it and it feels really strong and sturdy and as attractive and easy enough to assemble if you have some Mechanical ability that’s all.. I searched around a while for a base with more visual interest and for the price this one checked the boxes. The surface finish has a less wood-like hand to it. Mango can have a different feel to it. This table fit perfect in my smaller dining area. The graining is a warm caramel color in my opinion but it’s not loud just gives it a little somethin somethin! I wish the tabletop were about an inch thicker, as it is quite thin with a very thick/dense base which throws off the aesthetics a bit. Assembly was a little tricky because the leaf did not align with the pre-drilled holes. Moving the hardware fixed this. WOW!!! I love the table but there is a definite stability issue. I warn anyone sitting down or standing next to it to NOT PUT ANY PRESSURE ON THE TABLE FOR FEAR IT WILL TIP OVER. That’s SAD. I did put a beveled glass top on it hoping the weight would help to stabilize it. I still don’t trust it at all and I make sure anything sitting on the table is placed at the center.
