Decent piece, but arrived with several scratches and dings. It's almost impossible to get through to customer service lately, and when you do, they are having "technical issues" so you need to call back later. Not worth the hassle of trying to return. Regardless, the first few steps are a big tricky to get through because the directions are less than clear. My advice is to put each sections together and attach, versus trying to build from the bottom up. It spins nicely, even on carpet and with a bit of weight from books and decorations. The parts were surprisingly dusty, and it was in between layers within the box so it was definitely there before it was packaged. Not the end of the world, but it was a lot of pieces to wipe down as I assembled. It also seems like it wouldn't have cut into profits too much to put the screws in two separate bags so I didn't have to dump them all out to find the 10 small ones for the rotating base hardware. Also, the instructions were terrifying until I realized it was just the same thing over and over - then they felt redundant. We really like this shelf. We are using it for DVD/Blue ray storage and it works really nicely. The assembly instructions were a bit challenging to follow but we figured it out. It’s pretty sturdy. My only feedback is that the color lists walnut and the photo looks like walnut. However, the color is leaning more like Cherry wood vs walnut. I ordered this in brown. It’s a bit darker than I thought it would be (first photo in review is lighting from the blinds being open, second photo is blinds and overhead light) but I love it still.
