The dark purple is a great color - file cabinets are fine for the price point. One of the two I ordered has a sizable dent on one corner. It it was to be in a corner or not viewable from two sides, I would be ok with it. However, it is being used to support wood for a desk in a brand new church office and plain to see. Purchased this in black. Arrived with great packaging. No scratches or dents. Not super thick or heavy metal but will work for my home office. I was not able to add the casters as the wheels added height and it would not fit under my desk. So there is about an inch or inch and a half gap between the top of the file cabinet and my desk. The only complaint I have is the top drawer does not pull out all the way. There are several inches of space at the back of the drawer that can't been seen. Seems like wasted space. Nice filing cabinet. I got 2 to replace a vertical 4 drawer metal file cabinet. I think it’s much more convenient when rolling around on a computer chair. Avoids having to stand to get into top draws. The draws in these can be set up to hold files side to side, front to back in 2 sections or a combination. They come fully assembled which is great. Only criticism I have is they both arrived damaged with several screws holding the top and sides together pulling free. I was not able to reuse the same screw spots due to missing material. Wayfair offered a 15% discount due to the issue. Rather than return them, I accepted the refund and was able to reconstruct the damaged areas. I had no alternative but to use longer screws which protrude from the side and back. It’s not visible and they both still look and work fine.. Rich P. Norton Ma. Mon Aug 04 2025
