Ben the cat loves his new bed! I covered the cushion with one of the easy-wash covers I use for his other baskets and beds. The whole thing weighs a ton so it is very sturdy. If the pet fits comfortably in the length/width they will be comfortable on the thick cushion. Ben only weighs 12 pounds and 2 cats would probably be comfortable together. My cats and I love this beautiful, comfy Dakota Fields rattan cat bed! Our 10-month old kittens, Linus and Samwise, ran up and into it the second I unboxed it. Well, Linus got in, and Sam wanted to join him! Now the bed is on our cat shelves, and our 12-year old Flame Point Siamese mix Oscar sleeps in it every morning after breakfast. I took the pic of him curled up and sleeping deeply as I was writing this review. Oscar is almost 13 lbs, and Linus is about 11 lbs, and they both fit very well. I do not see how anyone could find this bed too small. Both Linus and Sam fit last week, though they are not full grown yet. Very cute basket bed. Small for a 12 lbs chihuahua, but she tried to fit and likes small places. The pillow cushion doesn’t have much support so minus one star. I’d recommend adding foam underneath it to make more comfortable and can always add your own designed fabric to it for a more fun an customized look.
