I bought the 6-step ramp because we have a very high bed, and we wanted our dog to get used to using this before he gets to a point when jumping up and down will be difficult. This seems to be a very high quality item. Though it comes with no assembly instructions, we were able to figure it out easily enough. I was worried my beagle would tear it apart the way he has ruined other pillows and beds with foam inserts, this does not seem to have an offensive smell. this is perfect! We have one of those high maintenance frenchie dogs that aren't supposed to jump off things because they have really sensitive backs and short legs. It took no time at all for Tito to "learn" to use this, it doesn't take up a ton of room at the side of our bed, and it's pleasant and simple to look at.
