This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. It took a full 48 hours for all parts of it to be fully fluffed, and its a little on the stiff side, but Id still use it (this is going to be the kids couch). I dont think Id use it for the adults couch because I feel like Im going to slide off the front of it. I love it! I bought this as a safe furniture piece for my playroom. My autistic grandson needed a safe sofa that can also fold to a bed for when he stays the night. It is very firm and has only been set up for 5 hours. I was actually quite surprised. I’m tall so of course the couch sits low for me but it is a great sofa to drop on and lounge when the grandson isn’t here.
