This chair is amazingly well built, reasonably easy to put together, but your patient must be able to stand in order to make it work. Ultimately, I could not use it for my elderly mother, who had a stroke on the left side because that side was too weak to use her left leg to stand. I did a lot of research when I was looking to replace our 18 year old electric recliner. I am beyond happy with this recliner I decided to purchase! I got it in 2 days in 3 manageable boxes via Fed Ex! My husband was able to easily assemble it in less than 30 minutes! The color (beige) and the material (faux leather that is soft and better than leather) is beautiful! It truly brightens up our family room next to a dark brown couch! I was so excited to try it! First off, it is extremely comfortable! They even gave you a wonderful lumbar pillow but I didn't need it! It's a nice accent when you're not in the chair! :) The massage features are outstanding! You have 4 positions and 3 modes with 3 speeds! It is not very loud- which is what I was concerned about with our 16 year old miniature poodle! She didn't even hear it! You can set a timer for it which is fabulous! Second, the heating feature in the lumbar area is excellent! Third, the cup holders are great as I can now have my drink on my chair instead of on the floor! Fourth, the USB outlets on the side of the chair are a fantastic addition to this extraordinary chair! Lastly, there are 2 pockets in the front of the chair and 2 on the sides of the chair! Perfect for your phone, glasses, a book... They truly thought of everything when they made this chair!!! Just got this today, and set it up for my sister-in-law at her assisted living studio. We wanted her to be able to elevate her legs in a recliner and to be able to sleep there as well because of her leg swelling and mobility issues. This is a real quality item. Heavy, sturdy, and full-featured, with customizable heat and massage, easy to access and operate wired controls (two sets, one for the chair’s back, legs, full recline, lift and one for heat and massage). Both are really easy to use. The materials in the chair are quality with faux leather that is attractive and comfortable. The chair’s support and cushioning are superb. Assembly was easier than I expected, but still took some time. I did the assembly all by myself, but had help with getting the boxes into her studio. They are heavy (which is a good thing when it comes to furniture like this). Assembly took about an hour with a very clear and substantial instruction booklet (large pages and print which is nice for my sister-in-law to have as a reference). There are two plug-ins, so keep that in mind. Everything tested out perfectly, and my sister-in-law was able to operate it right away. The lift feature will seriously get you out of the chair in an almost upright position! Really well-designed. There are a lot of lay-flat lift recliners on the market, and I feel doing the extra research helped me avoid some poor options. This one is a keeper! The chair arrived safely in two well-packaged boxes that were manageable for two people to bring indoors. After unboxing and verifying all the components against the clear, concise instructions, the assembly process was straightforward with minimal steps. The instructions were crystal clear, and assembly was a snap. A quick tip for assembly grab a partner to help steady the backrest while you line up the brackets—it makes the process much easier than going solo. While the build is simple, having a second person assist with aligning the backrest brackets is highly recommended for precision. Overall, the chair was very simple to put together, feels great to sit in, and works perfectly. All the electrical components hooked up correctly and work as they should. Exceedingly pleased with my purchase. Outstanding value for the phenomenal purchase price, many wonderful features including Generous sized hidden "cubbies" in arms, quality built, cup holders both sides, USB charging ports & nicely sized side pockets on BOTH sides. Disappointed with assembly service offered. Many reschedules due to no one available. Stated to be easy no tools required assembly, but due to my mobility, dexterity & strength issues would NOT be easy for me UNDERSTATEMENT. I was barely able to get the 3 boxes into my home. They offer nothing in the way of removing my old chair, which I certainly am unable to do. Plus, I have to UNBOX & inspect it‼️ This chair states it is for the ELDERLY‼️Now just how do they expect an elderly person to accomplish that❓ Basically, I NEEDED to do everything but put it together. I essentially paid for a person to waltz into my home snap the chair together & leave for the close to $100.00 I paid. I believe that to be a bit steep. Also, & this is NOT Wayfair's fault, but there is NO physical manual that comes with this chair, it NEEDS a physical & INFORMATIVE manual‼️A manual can be found online but it is USELESS‼️NO instructions re: function of either controllers.
