We have a "Florida basement" storage room in our modern organic coastal home that needed a light. This was perfect, nice (not cheap) quality and a little fun. When lit, the warm brown weave creates a neat little pattern across the ceiling. As some have mentioned, you will need to be directly under the fan to feel it but it does move air surprisingly well. This is perfect for us because I sometimes hang wet clothes on a drying rack or do some ironing in the center of the room. A great modern update for my bedroom that I remodeled to replace the old early 2000s model I had. It’s much more quiet and glides through the air. I keep it set to 6 which is the highest speed. It’s was about 40 minutes to get it assembled and installed. The instruction video made things super easy, but the printed instructions were good too. My only issue is that it does not have memory. So if power gets switched off, it will not save your last setting (including blade direction) and you must use the remote to power it on. This ceiling fan is so beautiful! It exceeded my expectations in size quality of construction and aesthetics. The fan is a nice weight not too heavy not too light and the metal is a superior quality and coded so that it will be easy to maintain and clean. The fan blades I believe are plastic but they kind of feel like wood! Installation is a bit tricky though for us since I have to have an electrician come and put a new box in the ceiling,,but we can’t wait to get it completely installed. We tested with alternative power and it’s very quiet and runs smooth. It comes with a remote control which adds to the ease of turning off and on. We couldn’t be happier with this purchase..
