I bought one last year to water plants in my greenhouse and garden, and save on the water bill. So happy with it, I got another one for a friend. EDIT 1 year later, it leaks now. Probably should have drained it before freezing weather - water expands as it turns to ice. Also want to add that it's no good without the base, and had a heck of a time arguing with Wayfair "customer service" because they sent me two bases and no barrel. Since our rain barrels are made of high-density polyethylene plastic they can be left outdoors even in the winter months so there is no need to modify your downspouts in the spring and fall. It’s a perfect fit, no leaks, and excellent pressure. I’m still giving it 5 stars because I got my barrel when it was marked down. The sale price the new spigot was still cheaper than the regular price d barrel. This was even better looking than I thought it would be. It looks beautiful. However, customers should know that there is no opening for a diverter hose from a downspout. And there are no instructions for setting up other than the spigots. It seems like it is designed to just sit anywhere and gather rain, which would take forever.
