The frame seems pretty lightweight, but the person putting it together said it's sturdy. I ordered this for a guest bedroom, so it won't be getting daily use. Easy to put together. Very sturdy. There are screws heads in the bed frame in 3 places down the middle of the frame and the center piece of the foundation sits on the screw heads.
