The directions are pretty much ok and on point. However, the last section for attaching the legs to the last section of board had the instructions mirroring what holes were drilled on the actual wood. So you basically had to guess. There also are some strange areas that should have guidance holes drilled, like the main cabinet portion for drilling the slots in, they did not. And the instructions clearly state if you do not space the boards correctly it will break and that is where your head is supposed to go, so not sure that's ideal. I am excited to review this piece because it all worked out so beautifully for me. I needed this rollaway bed for company during the holidays, and being that this folds up and moves on wheels, it was the perfect choice for us. I was also glad it included a memory foam mattress with a nice washable removable cover. However, when it came, the mattress was the wrong size and 12” too short. Now allow me to talk about customer service for bit: if you ever have to return something, go through the online process first, not the chat, the return process. It asks you questions and documents the facts. I waited about three days to get a solution, and they “called ME”. Wow! It was so nice to have a real person inquire about my problem, and want to resolve it with me! Five stars to Wayfair just for that! Another mattress was sent in about four days, it fit nicely, and the problem was solved. And that is the way customer service should work!! Now on to the product. I really liked the all-metal frame. Even children could not destroy this. It was super strong and supportive. It took me about an hour to put together by myself and all hardware tools came with the project. Nothing was very difficult. Make sure you remove all the plastic caps from the ends of the bars (2nd pic below), and make sure when you attach pieces you are doing it all the same way, face up or face down (3rd pic below). Those are my only hints with construction that would have saved me some time. I really like the portability and ease of a folded bed you can just store in the closet and forget. This turned out to be a great purchase and exactly what I needed. It was quick and easy to assemble, and the mattress is truly 5 inches with good-quality memory foam-my Pops says it’s very comfortable and said he doesn't need a mattress topper. It’s easy to open at night and store in the morning, rolls smoothly without scratching my floors, feels sturdy with the wheels locked, and fits perfectly in my small living room closet. I’m very pleased with the quality. For extra peace of mind, I did purchase a thin rubber floor runner to roll it on when moving it to and from the closet, and I added quarter-size felt pads under the legs for additional floor protection. This cabinet bed really surprised me—in a good way. The overall build quality is excellent. It feels sturdy, well-balanced, and far from flimsy, which is exactly what you want for something that’s both furniture and a functional bed. The finish has a nice, clean look with subtle texture that gives it a more premium feel than I expected from something ordered online. When closed, it looks like a stylish cabinet and blends in nicely with the room. Once opened, it’s just as impressive. The frame is solid and supportive, and the mechanism operates smoothly. It doesn’t feel like a “temporary” sleeping solution at all—more like a legitimate bed that just happens to fold away. The added lighting detail is a nice touch and gives it a modern, upgraded feel. That said, be prepared assembly is no joke. This is definitely a multi-hour project and not something I’d recommend tackling solo unless you’re very experienced. The instructions are manageable, but there are a lot of steps and parts, and it takes patience to get everything aligned properly. Having a second set of hands makes a huge difference. Once it’s put together though, it’s absolutely worth it. You end up with a space-saving piece that looks great and performs even better.
