Assembly wasn’t too hard to understand like others are making it seem, just gotta use your brain. The hardest part was fitting into tight corners to tighten some of the camber bolts and whatnot. Assembly took ~6 person hours with a couple of mistakes that required taking some pieces apart and reassembling. Multiple pieces were not labeled with numbers and the instructions were somewhat difficult to follow. This piece is very sturdy but note that it weighs ~240 lbs in total. Converting it from a cabinet to a bed is definitely a 2 person operation as the top is quite heavy. A 6" trifold mattress just barely fits - it makes it hard to use the latch and puts pressure on the front panel such that it slightly bends outwards. We bought two of these for our guestgame room. There are a lot of steps to put them together but its actually quite easy. I suggest having a second person as some of the pieces are long, its just easy to line up with the other person. The wheels worked better on carpet than I thought they would. Super cute! Really nicely finish and design. A lot of storage there for the trifold mattress. I did not build it myself and had someone from task rabbit do it and it took him 4 hours. It’s a big piece of heavy furniture and it’s perfect. Assembly was pretty straightforward and feels over engineered. The mattress that comes with it is quite thin but that’s based on my preference ! It took several tries to get a delivery that wasn’t damaged but it went together easily ( couple in our 80’s). Folds so efficiently that there is room in the bottom drawer for things other than bedding. Nice clean lines, good paint job, and no complaints about the comfort of the mattress.
