We’ve actually purchased this bed frame twice this year! We first bought the queen size for ourselves and were very happy with it. A couple of months later, we decided to upgrade to a king-size bed, so we gave the queen frame to our son and purchased the exact same bed frame again in king size. We love the quality. It’s made from solid wood, feels sturdy and well-made. It works with our new 16-inch-high mattress and adjustable base, although the headboard does look a little short with such a tall mattress and base. Wayfair furniture can be hit or miss, but this is a nice headboard and frame. I chose the dark walnut color and there's no red or yellow tint to it. It's not rustic/raw wood -- there's a finish but it's not high gloss. The design feels well thought out and everything fits together well. Horizontal wood slats are held in place by strong Velcro, which makes it easy to position your mattress. The assembly diagrams made sense and with the help of two yoga blocks for leveling/stability, I didn't need a second person to assist with putting the piece together. (For reference, I definitely had a Wayfair assembler construct my six-drawer dresser -- best money ever spent -- but as a 69-year old woman, I felt comfortable doing this job on my own.). Sabrina. We have a house on the small side where space is at a premium. We were looking for something with usable storage to help reduce clutter and help us stay organized while making the room look nice. This frame checked all of those boxes. The fact that the structural components are made from solid wood was a significant contributing factor as well. Time will tell if it scratches easy or holds up, but in the week or two weve had it, its been a solid, structurally sound, good looking frame that enables us to have drawer storage under our bed. As others have mentioned, the drawers are not attached to the frame, but work great nonetheless. They are huge and have ball bearing wheels attached on the sides which allows them to slide out very easily while not slipping all over the place side to side. The frame was surprisingly easy to put together. It took more time to breakdown all the cardboard boxes than it did to assemble the frame. Great price point too considering the quality.
