I cant say this bed isnt pretty. I do like it. However, what appears to be wrought iron is actually painted plastic composite material. Also the framing around the headboard is also plastic like. I posted a picture of.the corner that has a chip and it feels and looks like plastic. The center of the headboard, the footboard, and side rails do appear to be wood. Very nice bedroom set! The only downside is that there is only 1 nightstand which does not make sense. You cannot order one from Vintondale, nor can you order the 5 drawer chest pictured in he photo.
