I am very happy with this hood. The quality of build seems solid, installation instructions were very clear, and it I think it looks great. It takes some planning and work to get it installed. You have to make sure your ceiling joists and ductwork is going the right direction or be prepared to do some modifications. I have a soffit and had to take down a bunch of drywall to modify the framing, run the 14/3 romex for the light/fan and modify the ducting. Then I replaced the drywall, taped, texture, paint and installed the hood. Fortunately it all came together nicely. I was able to held the hood in place while my wife drive the screws into the framing. I think it will be worth it in the end because the hood won’t be blocking the view in front of our cooktop.. I looked long and hard to find a hood like this. The suction of this hood is very good. Cleaning the filters is easy. They are removable and can be washed in the sink. I was genuinely impressed with the quality and appearance of the Proline 36" range hood. The stainless steel finish is beautiful, it feels very well built, and it gives the kitchen a high-end, professional look. The craftsmanship exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately, I had to return it because of my home's ventilation limitations—not because of the hood itself. This hood really performs best with an **8- to 10-inch duct**, whereas my kitchen only has a **6-inch duct** and significant space constraints that made modifying the ductwork impractical. If you have the proper duct size and adequate installation space, I would absolutely recommend this hood. It's an excellent product. Looks very clean and modern, it was easy to install for two DIYers after watching ProLine video on YouTube. Sounds reasonable in our open plan kitchenhouse. Even though the shroud is wide, the air guide behind it on top of the motor doesnt leave a lot of space for the electrical outlet, so I recommend placing the outlet higher and off to the side..
