I really was excited about this water filtration system but after setting it up I have to say I’m kind of disappointed. I have been buying bottled water for a long time because even tap water that’s been filtered through a filter that attaches to my kitchen faucet gives me heartburn. On top of that I got a letter from the city saying my water is coming into my house through lead pipes! So I felt it was time to up my water filtration game! My biggest concern with this system is that I wasn’t able to find a replacement filter anywhere. The manufacturer and big box store that sell them show them as sold out. This system came with a filter but what good is it if I can’t get a replacement filter when I need one The set up was a pain as well because it requires running four liters of water through the machine three times before you can use it. So, after all that, how does the water taste It’s ok. It’s not really good tasting water. It also takes up more counter space in my small house. It does what it says so I give it four stars but I’m not going to tell all my friends to buy one. Also, two pieces of plastic were broken off the lid to the water reservoir. The WGB21B is a great "point of entry" filtration system and an excellent alternative to the larger WGB22B for smaller homes. The WGB21B will filter water directly from your source. This means that water from every outlet will have passed through this filter, providing up to 50,000 Gal. of clean water for the entire family. The first stage of this system houses a 5-micron high-capacity polypropylene sediment filter (FP15B). This filter is responsible for removing dirt, rust, and most suspended solids, to protect the CTO carbon block filter. The second stage houses the 5-micron CTO coconut shell carbon block filter (FC15B). Block carbon is more effective than other forms of carbon in that it is finely ground up carbon packed into a solidified block. This means they have a higher density than other types of carbon filters and are therefore more effective in removing their targeted contaminants. The carbon block filter knocks out bad tastes and odors, removes over 90% of sediment and chlorine, and is highly effective on chemicals, like pesticides, herbicides, and industrial chemicals.

Was very tired of hand held water filter pitchers. I needed something with a stationary spout and filters that lasted for maybe a couple of months as well as good tasting water. The stainless steel container is preferable to plastic and the filters last a lot longer. Now I don’t have to store f use refrigerator or cupboard space for all the spare water bottles and pitchers. I have no idea about the quality of this product because I just received it and am guessing on how to put it together. No manual. Only a small 4" X 3" instruction pamphlet with the filters & one with the canisters. Both have minimal wording and the pictures are so tiny a magnifying glass is needed to try to see the parts and which way they go in. There is absolutely no mention of how to secure the carbon filters in the upper chamber so I guessed. No mention on how tight to make the gaskets so they don't leak. It's a bit late when you've got it filled with water. How they said to prime them with your kitchen faucet didn't work for me. They say it takes 8 minutes to put this together. That's probably only true if you've done this before. No phone number on their web site. FAQs are repetitive and unhelpful, "you just put them in". They don't stand up if they cannot be fastened in place somehow. Preworded drop down menu, so you cannot get assistance with your particular issue when you contact the web site in writing for support. Who wants to wait for that anyway? Additionally, they want you to enter your order number, which I didn't happen to have handy. Totally, totally unnecessarily frustrating assembly process and an inability to get immediate support (I was not able to locate that 24/7 chat they advertise is available either!). Cathi.
