I opted to set this couch up with the L shape vs the U shape. The U shape isn’t coffee table friendly. The only thing I’ll say is the two square pieces that create the U shape they slide when you sit or lay across them. so you have to put a carpet under it to keep it in place Thats really the only negative I have to say. It’s a very sturdy couch, short compared to a real couch, but as expected when reading the dimensions. I picked it because a lot of the reviews said that the cushions were firm and not soft and I wanted to ensure it lasted me the 3 years I’d be int rh little apartment I was in. I will say it IS more firm than I expected, almost 3 years and haven’t softened up any, but I prefer that over them flattening out and becoming thin and very uncomfortable.
