This is a really nice unit. Nice looking design, mostly metal, sturdy feeling including coating with a nice texture / evenly applied, plenty of sensor settings (tucked on underside of sensor pod) for whatever you might be looking for the light to do, and has a clearly stated warranty. The lights are moderately bright, much dimmer, warmer, and more "mood lighting" than "floodlight" compared to our previous 2-bulb spotlight. Part of it is the focus of the light since they have a full rim/hood whereas some fixtures have big bulging bulbs that distribute light widely. Just depends what you're looking for. The area we have them in is about 50ft wide and with these pointed about 50* downward, they light up about 30ft well and the rest dimly. To me, this kind of light is more considerate to neighbors since it directs the light more into your own yard than beaming in all directions. 2 issues. One is the sensor pod -- which in my opinion is the durability weak spot on these types of product -- is all plastic... Not so good for baking in the sun, though I feel more confident since the product has a longer warranty than most things these days and will hopefully be UV resistant. The other quirk was during installation. This product has a lot of power/brains packed into the round base plate, leaving almost no room for wires/nuts. In our case, we had a builder-grade (junk) spotlight attached directly to an eve with the wiring stuffed behind the eve, no workbox. This meant a much more complicated install than expected because we had to cut a workbox to a weird location. Probably would have cost a good chunk more if an electrician had to do it. That's fine and probably the better way to install any electrical device, just wish there were clearer pictures of the back of the unit so we could have planned the time and materials better. For those of you living in parts of the country with better building standards than Arizona, perhaps you'll have the right electrical setup. It also includes a gasket which is so tightly toleranced it wouldn't sit behind the base during install on our textured eve... Again, might work better for your setup, just things to consider -- we needed a tube of caulk to seal it. Overall really like the light, unit looks great and so does the bright-enough but comfortable light it puts out. I wasn't sure about the clear glass looking at this online but in person, its better than I expected. Both features of the photocell (turns off during daylight) and motion detection (which it has a pretty far range and doesn't turn on in the daylight) are the best part. Auto mode: Auto-On at dusk and stay around 30% low light--Becomes 100% brightness when motions detected--Back to low light 2 minutes after no motions detected--Auto-Off at dawn. 2. Override mode(turn your wall switch OFF-ON quickly within 2sec under Auto mode). This is only dusk-to-dawn mode: Auto-On at dusk then stays 100% brightness at night for 8 hours or until the Dusk-to-Dawn sensor detects light at dawn. The fixture goes back to Auto mode after turning the wall switch Off-On in 2sec, or 1min after it detects the light. The sensor has around 220° motion sensing range, detecting motions up to 35 ft. distance. To make sure the fixture works properly, please always keep the wall switch ON.
