7/9/26: update - Customer service has been excellent, responsive and happy with resolution. Voiced my complaint with them and they are replacing the frame for the couch. Can't complain about that. I'll update again if there are no issues with this frame. Outside of that issue, the other pieces are great and very comfortable. OG review: Very disappointed. Had high hopes since my mom has had a plywood set for years and it's quality. Struggled with the idea of spending so much but decided it would be worth it for a quality set that would last for years. Well, that thought was ended the first time we sat on the couch. First off, assembly was a breeze. I completed by myself in a few hours, taking my time because it was extremely hot. But the next morning, went out to have coffee, husband sat on couch, leaned forward to pick up his cup and we heard a pop. He joked about my shotty work putting it together but when we looked we saw it was the prefabricated piece that had broke. IDK if it's just glued together there but it was not strong enough for him to lean forward to grab his coffee. Now, he isn't a tiny guy but he's not huge either, weighes about 220 so in my mind this "quality" furniture should be able to support that. Not sure what kind of customer service help we can get since I am not disassembling everything to send back. Just very surprised and disappointed in Polywood. I chose Polywood for no maintenance, heavyweight, and longevity. I assembled this myself. No issues. Best advice is to not tighten all the screws so you are able to move pieces a little while assembling. Then go through and tighten all when complete. Followed instructions. All hardware included. I love this set! Even dropping it a few times while putting it together, it had not damage and didn't damage anything it fell against. I even dropped some of the legs on the dining room table at several times, and they didn't scratch it. It is classy and comfortable. The colors are great (went with black frame and off-white cushions). It seems like it will hold up well. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because of the directions to put it together. Wrong! We finally just ignored them and looked at the sketch on the booklet and went from there. I actually like that the two-seat loveseat can either be attached together or placed with a little space between them. Sometimes you have people who like to sit that close and othertimes you have a group where it would only be used as a one-person seat, otherwise, because no one wants to sit that close to another person. The set is great. Comfy. Good Looking. Fairly light weight. Seems like the Polywood will be very durable. Easy to put together. Each of the back pieces has 4 holes for screws, 2 on the bottom and 2 midway up. One complaint - one of the back pieces had a production defect. It had holes drilled on the top instead of the bottom. And there is only one way it can sit, so you could not flip it. So this piece only has screws screwed in on the bottom. One of the photos is the defect and one of the photos is correct. It's wonderful, but be mindful that we had a couple of holes that did not line up perfectly upon assembly. There was a bit of manipulation involved also with the decorative end pieces that require your own power drill if you choose to use them, as they do not have pre-drilled holes. It's sturdy and it's beautiful. We chose the sand color because it does not absorb much heat. We have been told the darker colors get hotter to the touch and we live under the intense FL sun.. It's wonderful, but be mindful that we had a couple of holes that did not line up perfectly upon assembly. There was a bit of manipulation involved also with the decorative end pieces that require your own power drill if you choose to use them, as they do not have pre-drilled holes. It's sturdy and it's beautiful. We chose the sand color because it does not absorb much heat. We have been told the darker colors get hotter to the touch and we live under the intense FL sun..
