We’ve actually purchased this bed frame twice this year! We first bought the queen size for ourselves and were very happy with it. A couple of months later, we decided to upgrade to a king-size bed, so we gave the queen frame to our son and purchased the exact same bed frame again in king size. We love the quality. It works with our new 16-inch-high mattress and adjustable base, although the headboard does look a little short with such a tall mattress and base. We are pretty happy with the platform bed. Very protected in the box. The instructions were only pics, which was easy to understand. The bed went together fairly easily, even with one person! For a few of the steps, I had it leaning on the wall with a blanket for extra protection, but the pieces went together smoothly with little extra effort. The most time consuming part was simply attaching the bed slats, which was quick with a drill.
