I should have bought this when I bought my Purple mattress 5 years ago! Using a regular box spring under a Purple mattress will cause the grid to lose its shape and creates valleys in the mattress. Placing the Bunkie Board on top of the box spring restored the grid to its natural shape, and NOW I sleep on the mattress just like I did when I got it home! I'll be buying these for EVERY SINGLE Purple mattress I own!!!. Yokasta. NM. Mon Oct 19 2026

This is the best idea ever, I love it! I was not thrilled about a dark color so I took fabric and glue gunned it all around the wood pieces after I assembled most of it, their was enough room to do this and it worked great. I used a soft upholstry fabric and also laid batting on the broad surfaces. The mechanism works great and does not shut unless you pull it down. I purchased the queen-size version and also paid for a person through Wayfair to bring the box upstairs and install it. I have slept on the bed for 3 weeks and so far the bed exceeds my expectations. It is beautiful and feels heavy and stable. It does not squeak or move around. I placed the bed on the carpet and the drawers still move in and out easily. Drawers are made of solid wood. I have had other similar beds where the drawers are made of plastic. I am glad that I paid someone to install it because it took a pro more than an hour. I added a headboard to the bed that I purchased from another marketplace. So far, I love it and I would recommend it to others!. Raya. Huntington Beach, CA. Wed May 13 2026

Saw a similar frame to this one at a different site but they had gone out of business. Found this one on Wayfair and really like this frame. The instructions were somewhat confusing and the tool wrench supplied could have been a little longer as it was difficult to access screws to tighten. Once the top panels were installed it was difficult to make sure the panel screws were tightened correctly. This frame gave me the style and look I wanted, without having to worry about matching my other bedroom furniture.. Anonymous. Mobile, AL. Thu Oct 22 2026

The bunkie board split bunkie board provides a surface foundation for any platform beds, bunks, and daybeds. It adds support to the mattress and will keep the mattress stay in good shape thus extending the life of your mattress. It will give firm bottom support for the mattress and raise the mattress by about. When a mattress is placed directly on slats or metal springs, the mattress will tend to rip or sink. Create a relaxed, casual retreat in your bedroom with the Mendon bed frame. Crafted from solid rubberwood, the Mendon features a classic walnut brown finish that complements any color palette. Its low platform and angled, tapered legs are reminiscent of cool, mid-century modern design. Add some crisp white sheets and a plush duvet to complete the look. This bed includes wood slats, which eliminate the need for a box spring.

Shown are the dimensions for the full size bed frame. Without the legs, the width is 56 ⅝ inches, with the legs the width is 58 inches. Under the bed is a hair over 10 inches. Not pictured, but the length was 76 to 76 ½ inches. The quality is a solid 4 out of 5. For the price I paid, under 300, I felt like I got what I paid for. There are some tiny imperfections on the frame, and some moderate imperfections on the plywood slats and support legs. But I dont feel like its going to snap on me or anything. Its a sturdy bed frame, very attractive. The height is perfect for me, gives me a bit of storage room underneath without making the bed too high. The frame wood is a good walnut color, fairly evenly stained with natural appeal. The rounded edges are great, no stabbing my shins. The legs are on the outside, but the gap at the headboard means it doesnt run up against my baseboards. Overall I would recommend the bed! Assembly was fairly easy. I managed it on my own, but it would be easier with two. The only issue with the bed is the freaking wood screws. It comes with an allen key, which every other part of the assembly uses, but every other slat is supposed to be secured with wood screws (the other half are with allen wrench bolts). This feels like seriously cheaping out. The wood screws are probably fine with any sort of drill, but I only own manual screwdrivers and couldnt manage to drive them into the frame. The screws are meant to screw into the hardwood frame which is very difficult by hand. I ended up giving up and just putting tiny felt squares under that half of the slats, to prevent noise. When I get a drill Ill add them in.. Liam. Michigan. Fri Oct 02 2026

This four-drawer platform bed features a simple design that matches various home decoration styles. The three drawers provide ample storage space. Love the storage bed. Looks expensive and is well made. Love that I no longer use a bed skirt - making bed is so much easier & quick. I did not purchase the assembly pkg. because, I needed to feed my wires for my heating mattress pad as it was being assembled. It took me 3 1/2 hrs. to assemble. Directions were easy to follow.. The frame seems pretty lightweight, but the person putting it together said it's sturdy. I ordered this for a guest bedroom, so it won't be getting daily use. I like the roominess under the bed allowed by the height of the bed frame, which makes it good for storage if you're inclined. The 14" tall frame gives about 12" of space under it. The slats have around 7" between them. I had a hard time finding this information when I was looking at the description.. Judy. Whiteland, IN. Mon Jun 29 2026
