This is great. I was looking for a permanent solution to keep the dog from the front door and a way to separate the dogs from my niece when she visits. This is perfect fix. It opens and closes easily with adult human hands, meaning the dogs or my niece can’t open it. It also has a lock, which will be great when my niece is a little older. Measuring 8″ in width, these solid wood clamps are expertly designed to fit snugly around very small spindles, effectively sandwiching two spindles together. They fit spindles measuring up to 6.5″ in width. Note: You will need two clamps for each side of the gate for optimal support.

Absolutely perfect for my needs. We now own 5 of these gates which we use to keep our dog restricted to certain areas of the house. The features we like best are that you can install it on either side of the doorway, the gate swings both ways, and you can install it above the floor, if desired.
