This is great. I was looking for a permanent solution to keep the dog from the front door and a way to separate the dogs from my niece when she visits. This is perfect fix. It opens and closes easily with adult human hands, meaning the dogs or my niece can’t open it. It also has a lock, which will be great when my niece is a little older. Seems to be an ok gate. Looks nice. Was easy to install. There is a small plastic piece with a spring behind it at the bottom of the gate that was broken when it arrived. I just took it off and it doesn’t seem to interfere with operation of the gate so, I’m not sure what it was there for. Pretty sure it was broken before it even left the factory. The box was in perfect condition. We still can’t figure out how to get the cat door to slide up so that’s disappointing. The lock/unlock knob appears to do nothing.
