Very attractive gathering area with lots of space. The curtains and mosquito netting adds to its usefulness. The 14x24 Ft. is slightly different than the 12x20 Gazebo that we purchased in 2020. It has a support bar across the middle that is only 6Ft.In. high which interferes with putting a fan in the middle. We installed on an existing cement pad and when it rained the water flooded around each leg. Ceiling kept the middle dry. Velcro ties for curtains came loose during moderate gusts of wind. We think we will love it, but beware. It is actually 13' 6" x 22', six inches less wide than described. The assembly instructions are more terrible than anticipated by my husband, who is a carpenter with more than 55 years of experience, and who also built our Dutch Colonial by himself from plans. He is smart and experienced. He thinks you'd be ok if you have built one of these before, but even if you are very handy, the instructions are written by somebody who has never built anything. Ive been watching this gazebo for over a year and finally pulled the trigger when it went on sale for memorial day. It took 2 days to assemble with 4 people and a supporting cast of 3 wives grilling and refilling water bottles and of course telling us what was being done incorrectly.lol. It was a really enjoyable experience and the finished product is awesome. I layed out as many parts as I could to make it easier to grab what we needed per each step. This gazebo is fantastic. It took my husband and a friend about 5 days to put it together. They worked about 5 hours every and the last day was just getting the fit on the patio and drilling the holes into the concrete to get it set and then hanging the screens and curtains. They did a great job and my husband followed the instructions fairly easy, as he was in construction and used to reading drawings, so it wasn't hard for him. Everything went together as it should have. I think one screw hole was out of alignment, so he made a new one. Other than that he had no problems putting it together. We love the size of it, its double of what one gazebo normally is. Gives us plenty of space for furniture and a fire table, and still room to add an eating table which I have not purchased yet. We love its wind resistance too. We get some crazy winds in the desert, sometimes 60+ mph, and we've since had just a couple days like that, and we have found it to hold up just great! You do hear a little rattle with that kind of wind, but not much. Its solidly in the ground and the parts are solid, holding together well. Can't beat this gazebo for its sturdiness and beauty. Function is awesome and I know in the summer we'll be able to close the curtains when the sun starts beating in any direction, and screens if the flies show up while eating. Just purchased a lake front lot wanted a gazebo for entertaining. Im somewhere between 4 and 5 on this. The packaging is horrible so many parts were damaged. Wayfair gets a 5 out of 5 for getting replacements ordered for me quickly. The replacements were packed just as poorly so some got damaged as well but they sent extras so it was not a problem. Sent from the manufacturer so none of that is Wayfairs fault. Instructions were just okay. Not always super clear. Some bolts really wanted to cross thread. Im happy with the look and function. Its not going to keep every drop of water out in a storm but itll do an adequate job. It could be a little sturdier but I dont think you can find better for the price. Im telling everyone about Wayfair customer service. I expected to have to contact the manufacturer myself and be lucky to get a response. I love this gazebo! It was not easy to put together, it took 4 of us about 7 hours. But I absolutely love it! It's well made and feels like it's going to last a long time. The 4 posts are not solid wood, they feel hollow and if you look close you can see the seams in the wood where they put it together. But I still love it. It shipped in 4 boxes, and you'll definitely need 2 people to move the boxes around. The hooks are nice, I have 2 battery operated pendant lights hanging from them and it looks great! For the most part this pergola is everything I could have hoped for. Absolutely in love with the look and feel of our patio after installing this. Putting it together is a lot of work so come prepared! The sound on the roof as it rains is so relaxing. We have had extremely high winds with no issues but it has not gone through hail or snow yet so I can’t speak on that currently.
