Love this bench. Well made and very attractive. HOWEVER, do not purchase the extra service for assembly. Wayfair uses Angi for outsourcing the bench assembly. The kid they sent out had only a wrench and a screwdriver. Not the tools to assemble the bench. He couldn’t figure out how it went together and finally left with all the pieces laying on the ground. Love Wayfair, but will never schedule assembly from them. They were kind enough to refund the assembly fee. The sides were pretty scared up from what the kid did to it with his wrench. This bench was a very pleasant surprise. I wanted the William Yeoward, Jonathan Charles bench but at $1,900 I decided I would 'settle' for the Emmalee bench instead. I was SHOCKED to see its gorgeous quality and that it is identical to the more expensive one. The color I got says "natural" but as you can see in my photos it is not that; instead it is a beautiful brownish gray, much dressier than a natural finish. The size is identical to the more expensive one, and the construction is substantial, sturdy and very high quality. The cane seating is thick and sturdy. I bought this for my balcony and just now assembled. The wood is nice quality from what I can tell, but more importantly, this thing is very well designed for a flatpack bench/sofa. The cushions are incredibly comfortable, too! It's nice and wide, it feels so good to lie down on. The description recommends treating and sealing the wood, by the way. Before I put the cushions on, I mixed a mixture of 1:1.5 beeswax and mineral oil, and with gloves on, painted this onto every surface of the wood. I went in with a hairdryer after and melted this wax into the pores of the wood, wiping with a rag as I went to soak up excess. I finished with a good rub of mineral oil on top and wiped all excess. This was a horrible experience. I ordered this bench once it came in broken and the guys didn’t even take it off of the truck. I ordered a second time that Driver dumped a box that looked exactly like garbage on my front step. The box has been taped back together before it ever got to me, and there was a corner ripped open. You could look through and see that the bench itself was broken. I scheduled a return pick up, which got delayed for several days and ended up getting the OK to just donate whatever was in the box. When we opened the box, we found that both ends the legs were broken. It was terribly packaged and to be honest, even though from far away, it could have looked nice, up close the canning on it was very cheap and had some kind of a weird plastic-like frame.. Kimberly.
