The rectangular dining table comes with a leaf, so this table can sit 8 people when fully extended and six when it's fully collapsed. I love this dining set. It is beautiful. Sitting at it with guests feels comfortable, warm, and cozy. The chairs are well padded. There was a problem with the upholstery on one of the chairs and customer service took care of the problem quickly and efficiently. This dining set is beautiful and matches perfectly with the china cabinet. The wood appears to be of good quality. Love my dining table it exceeded my expectations. Although the description indicates saddle brown, I ordered and received the black with natural top. Table and chairs are very sturdy.
