Channeling the breezy feel of oceanside living, the Winston Subway Tile Collection pairs effortlessly with any commercial or residential design that craves a soothing touch.

The tile I received has small speckles of gray or black which I was not expecting from the image online. They also seem to be somewhat shinier than what I thought was a matte finish. I could have ordered a sample, which I suggest, but was a little pushed for time. They did take awhile to be delivered. I would have preferred what I thought I would receive, but I am satisfied enough not to go through the return process. They seem to be of good quality and were delivered safely.. Anonymous. So I'm giving this 5 stars, because I don't want to pull the rating down on it- it is GORGEOUS. Gloss finish, nice depth of color, craquelure BUT the color shown for Green is just not accurate at all. Best description would be "olive drab" If you are looking for a grayish brownish green- you've found it, buy it, love it. But this just won't do for our application. (GREEN IS SO DIFFICULT TO FIND!). We were Inspired by Guastavino's exquisite tile arch when we create our Guastavino tile Collection; Guastavino was a Spanish architect and builder. Based on the Catalan vaults he created the Guastavino tile, a "Tile Arch System" patented in the United States in 1885 and used for constructing robust, self-supporting arches and architectural vaults using interlocking terracotta tiles and layers of mortar. Guastavino tile is found in some of New York's most prominent Beaux-Arts landmarks and in major buildings across the United States. It is used in a huge number of architecturally important and famous buildings with vaulted spaces. Guastavino was not the principal architect for most of the projects.
