In order to maintain the popular “outside-in” look, our tiles and mosaics come in either a natural cleft or tumbled finish. This material requires very little maintenance and is extremely resilient.

The tile is beautiful. I love it. I haven't installed it yet, and I know I will have to be careful as some of the pieces (may 1-2 on each square) is loose. A few have fallen off while I was setting up to see them in place. No big deal for me, but it might bother someone. What I love the best is the color and variance in the stone. It's just gorgeous.. This beautiful field tile is an incredibly popular stone the world over. It has a tightly packed grain, with little veining. Small crystals form a stony, mottled pattern throughout. The effect is a fairly uniform pattern. It is a highly prized granite, loved for its quality and consistent texture.

Purchased 2 boxes (20 pcs) 12x12 copper slate tiles. 2 tiles fell apart on first handling. 5 tiles were warped so badly that the backs rocked 1/2" - 3/4" against a flat surface. 4 had dramatic differences in thickness making them tricky to blend. I used a diamond scarfing disc on my variable speed orbital grinder to adequately flatten the backs of the warped tiles so it'll work out for my backsplash addition.
