We purchased the blue bunks. The color is beautiful for our grandsons big boy room. My husband assembled the beds in 3- 3 12 hours. The parts were labeled and ready to go. We absolutely love these bunk beds! We’ve had them for a couple of years now, and they have held up really well. We especially love how versatile they are. You can easily convert them into two separate beds, and the ability to change the ladder placement has been so convenient as our kids’ room and needs have changed. The drawers underneath have been a total lifesaver for storage, especially in a kids’ room where you can never have enough! And the railing on the top bunk is perfect for our oldest. It gives me a lot of peace of mind knowing she has that extra security while sleeping up top. My only complaint, and the reason I’m knocking off a star, is that for the price, I expected the overall quality and finish to be just a little better. We have some noticeable marks and fading where the drawers open and close, and the wood/finish has dented and gotten marked up fairly easily over the years. It’s not anything that affects the functionality, but for how much these cost, I would expect them to look a little better after normal everyday use. That being said, they are VERY sturdy, and I have never once worried about my kids’ safety while they’re sleeping in them, which honestly, is the most important thing to me. They’ve held up through years of kids climbing, playing, and sleeping in them, and overall we’ve been really happy with them. I just wish the finish was a little more durable for the price!. Love the bed, sturdy and seems to be constructed well. I added the assembly and the two guys that showed up were very polite and courteous. They also got the job done in 2 hours. My only issue is when the guys (hired through Handyman) were putting it together some of the wood frame pieces were taped together.
