Some reviewers have complained about rust, but I see no sign of any chipping or finish inconsistency on the metal so fingers crossed no rust will form any time soon or ever (when the rack is empty, I dab the wet metal a little with a towel just in case). There is a plastic tube fitted on each leg to protect the sink surface. One minor issue is I think gunk will build up inside the tubes over time, but they can be removed and cleaned periodically. Im pretty happy with this dish rack. Over the month that Ive had it it seems pretty sturdy even when Ive had a full stack of dishes and pans drying on it. Im a big fan of the cutting board holder on the side. The knife holder in the back is great for chefs knives and other large knives but paring knives will have to stay in the small silverware holder.
