I never write anything. BUT, I have to on this one.... I purchase many items that need to be put together and (this is my second gazebo purchase) I must say this Purpleleaf Gazebo exceeded all my expectations. Everything was lettered and numbered. The directions were easy to read. Screws and hardware were labeled. Honestly, I don't think i have had so much success in putting together a large project like this before. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Steps 1 you can do with one person. Step 2 you need 2 people helping you. Step 3 get 3-4 people helping with the roof. Suggesting...screw as you go or they can slip off. This product was great. Better than expected. Seems to be well made. I hired a construction guy/friend to assemble it. He brought two employees, and it took a day and a half to assemble. I have only had it up for a month, and it hasn't been through any harsh weather. I will report if it becomes an issue. It looks great, and all of our Wayfair furniture fits under it and around our gas firepit. Nice addition. It is a good value. Yes, it is expensive, but the quality is good. Very attractive gathering area with lots of space. The curtains and mosquito netting adds to its usefulness. The 14x24 Ft. is slightly different than the 12x20 Gazebo that we purchased in 2020. It has a support bar across the middle that is only 6Ft.In. high which interferes with putting a fan in the middle. We installed on an existing cement pad and when it rained the water flooded around each leg. Ceiling kept the middle dry. Velcro ties for curtains came loose during moderate gusts of wind. This gazebo is fantastic. It took my husband and a friend about 5 days to put it together. They worked about 5 hours every and the last day was just getting the fit on the patio and drilling the holes into the concrete to get it set and then hanging the screens and curtains. They did a great job and my husband followed the instructions fairly easy, as he was in construction and used to reading drawings, so it wasn't hard for him. Everything went together as it should have. I think one screw hole was out of alignment, so he made a new one. Other than that he had no problems putting it together. We love the size of it, its double of what one gazebo normally is. Gives us plenty of space for furniture and a fire table, and still room to add an eating table which I have not purchased yet. We love its wind resistance too. We get some crazy winds in the desert, sometimes 60+ mph, and we've since had just a couple days like that, and we have found it to hold up just great! You do hear a little rattle with that kind of wind, but not much. Its solidly in the ground and the parts are solid, holding together well. Can't beat this gazebo for its sturdiness and beauty. Function is awesome and I know in the summer we'll be able to close the curtains when the sun starts beating in any direction, and screens if the flies show up while eating. Ive been watching this gazebo for over a year and finally pulled the trigger when it went on sale for memorial day. It took 2 days to assemble with 4 people and a supporting cast of 3 wives grilling and refilling water bottles and of course telling us what was being done incorrectly.lol. It was a really enjoyable experience and the finished product is awesome. I layed out as many parts as I could to make it easier to grab what we needed per each step. I just finished assembling this gazebo. It took me about 3 days with little help from my wife. Instructions are eazy just make sure to look at the directions of parts. Garage is first come first server, so needed a carport to protect whoever loses for the day. I was looking into another model from Sunjoy sold through a large box store, but after looking at their other products decided on Autocove due to more head room at the entrance due to the angled front rafter. The other model went straight across. My driveway pad angles down in 2 directions, so I had to DIY footers to make It level. Used 12” concrete form tubes, QK5000, 4 little vertical rebar in each piling drilled into exiting pad, and concrete2concretre bond agent. Used Laser level from highest point to know how tall each needed to be. Added 1x6 black stained slats which are NOT part of the product. Also used different 6x6 base mounts that only needed 1 big 5/8 hole drilled into concrete instead of 4 each pillar. The hardest part of my overall project was drilling the holes into existing concrete. You will be over installing bolts by the time you are done, but straight forward. The other reviewer’s video showing assembly (slowed way down!) was very helpful. Great Carport for the price and not hard to do. It’s really nice! Got a professional to put it together and it took a long time and some extra tools from the hardware store to get it the way we wanted it.
