This was very simple and easy to use the buttons were self explanatory, but i also cam with a help instruction book and power cable. We set it up turned it on Auto. With this feature it turns on and off on its own, more of a set it and forget it. After its first night went out and checked on it and had clearly attracted and kill LOTS of bugs. I had mid expectations about an electric flys "swatter", but this product does what it's designed to do, 100%. No longer do I have to have the agile reflexes of a cat when on the hunt. Slowly lower the racket over the top of the gnat or fly, and it's guaranteed toast. Gnats die instantly in one satisfying snap.
