This Retractable Outdoor Dog Gate solved all those problems. Its expandable design stretches up to 209 inches to cover wide or irregular areas like porches, driveways, and corner gardens. The 0–180° pivoting structure adapts to angled or straight spaces, while dual handles and a low ground clearance prevent my clever dog from escaping. Pressure-mounted rods provide stable support without damaging walls, and optional wall mounts add extra security. When not in use, it folds compactly for easy storage, giving me peace of mind and convenience.

The Denver Adapta-Gate® combines safety and convenience in one fantastic package. Hardware mounted for stability, it incorporates three hinged panels that can accommodate straight, angled, wide, and/or irregular openings and landings. Unlike many other gates that only span a doorway, it creates safe and roomy landings at the top or bottom of staircases and can also be used across wider openings. It’s easy to arrange and install based upon your needs and preferences, and using the Denver Adapta-Gate® makes this even easier! Designed by parents, for parents, our gate allows for one-handed operation, has a convenient easy close-and-lock feature, and comes with an Ezy-Check® Indicator so you know when the gate securely closed. Our gate also comes with the Smart Stay-Open Feature, which allows the gate to ‘stay open’ whenever it’s not needed. Cleverly designed, the Dreambaby® Denver Adapta Gate® swings open in both directions, but you can limit it to open in only one direction. This feature is especially important when used at the top of stairs. Hinged panels can accommodate openings of 33.5" - 79" across. Gate measures 29" high.

High quality gate- but your description dimensions are wrong so I had to leave the wheels off to get it to fit by less than an inch. Please correct this. Gate measures 84.5 inch high. The wheel add another 3 inches making it too large. There is a gauge in one of the crossbars at the top. Not a big deal but it did not happen in shipping. See photos. Overall fits my needs. Send me a gift card for the issues.. Robert. Key Largo, FL. Mon Sep 11 2023

This retractable gate is the perfect solution for our multi-generational home! We have young, energetic dogs that can be too much for my mom to handle. So we got one of the big, clunky gates to keep them downstairs. Unfortunately, it was too hard for my mom to open and close and made her feel trapped. This one is so light that she has no problem. So we can keep our dogs with us and not bothering her, and she can still join us when she wants to without having to call for someone to let her downstairs.. Tracy K. Pennsylvania. Thu Sep 17 2026

We needed a divider in our laundry room as the dogs go in and out of their dog door and into their space. It comes with floor secures too but we have tile and I’m not sure about drilling those in at this point. Thankfully my dogs get the list and keep to their side! You will need proper wall anchor screws for drywall as one of the hooks is starting to slip out of the wall from use. The product itself is sturdy and a great buy.
