Beautiful gate! I’m still installing it. It’s missing a screw for the latch, so that’s a trip to the hardware store. The posts in the ground are very short so I will need to pour cement for it to be stable. Good price for a Plow and Hearth product. FYI-Their items usually need protective coats against rust.. High quality gate- but your description dimensions are wrong so I had to leave the wheels off to get it to fit by less than an inch. Please correct this. Gate measures 84.5 inch high. The wheel add another 3 inches making it too large. There is a gauge in one of the crossbars at the top. Not a big deal but it did not happen in shipping. See photos. Overall fits my needs. We love our pets, but sometimes there are areas in the home that are off-limits, whether it's because you're applying a fresh coat of paint to the master suite walls or hosting friends in the living room for a lively fete. This pet gate limits Fido's access to certain parts of the house without compromising on style! Crafted from solid wood, it features a double-jointed hinge system that allows you to fold it in both directions and set it up in almost any doorway. Plus, it folds up when not in use, so you can give your furry friend free rein of the house again. This is a single extender panel to add to the compatible pet gate to expand it.

READ ME! I was a little stumped by the assembly of this gate, but once I figured it out (with NO help to the included instructions or video), I really do like it. Upon receipt when you unscrew the two main pieces of the gate, keep an eye out for 4 small square nuts that may fall out of the grooves. After you determine the size needed, these nuts are essential to hold the two gate pieces together. The video and instructions make it seem like you just simply fasten the screws into the grooves on top and bottom. Well, you do, but if you screw only into the grooves - without the square nuts - there is nothing to catch the screws, and thus, you will be unsuccessful. If you are luckier than me, and your nuts don't fall out of the grooves and go missing for a few days, you need to know that the nuts can be moved back and forth inside the grooves depending on the size you want. Use these nuts to secure your screws, and you'll be golden! I have two small dogs (up to 9 pounds each), and I chose this gate because it is adjustable to any size you wish, and it has feet (rather than needing to be secured to a wall). The feet can be placed along the bottom at any desired location (or you can opt not to use them at all). I chose to screw them in the bottom (but you don't need to) because it gave my gate added stability, and seeing how I plan to move the gate to other locations, this way I don't have to worry about the legs falling off during the moves. The feet have rubber pads at the bottom which help them stay in place on the hard floor. If you're looking for a gate where you wish to increase/decrease the size often to let dogs through, this isn't the gate for you as that would be a bit cumbersome with screwing/unscrewing; however, if you want a gate that sits at a certain size and can be stepped over or easily moved, this is perfect! I am 5'4" and can easily step over the gate, but my small dogs cannot get over/through it. I hope this review helps!. Theresa. Sun Prairie, WI. Fri Dec 06 2019

Reminder: Please measure before purchasing to ensure proper fit. Important: Do not cut off the rolled strip before installation is complete! As a busy parent and pet owner, I was worried about my toddler crawling onto the stairs or my puppy darting through doorways. This pressure-mounted gate solved it all! Made of thick steel with 2-inch spacing, it securely blocks pets—tested to hold 180 lbs. The 180° two-way door opens automatically: under 90°, it swings shut; at 90°, it stays open. I can easily carry groceries and open it one-handed. The door width is adjustable, ranging from 29 to 109 inches, suitable for every different opening where you need a door sill. The double-lock keeps kids safe but lets adults open quickly. Best part? No drilling—I installed it without damaging walls.

Used this to keep my dogs out of the front seat of my motor home. Couldn’t find anything made for that, but this works fine! I love that it has a gate so I can get in the back easily.. Linda. West Haven, UT. Fri Oct 02 2026

Absolutely perfect for my needs. We now own 5 of these gates which we use to keep our dog restricted to certain areas of the house. The features we like best are that you can install it on either side of the doorway, the gate swings both ways, and you can install it above the floor, if desired. This works out perfectly for our cats, who are able to slip under the gate (mounted 6 inches above the floor). The dogs are not able to follow. Also, the gate is very sturdy and strong and not an eyesore. Finally, unlike a pressure-mounted gate, there is no bottom support bar to trip over.. Nina. Lawrenceville, GA. Thu Jul 30 2026
