This agave steak was such a pleasant surprise. The leaves feel mostly real and from a distance it looks extremely real. You will notice in the photos that the print on each leaf is exactly the same so that part makes it look a bit more artificial when you’re looking up close. These are just so beautiful. We will have three unique and beautiful colors in this design.. Sizes and color tones may vary a bit since each is handmade and hand painted. Keep that in mind. Photos are a representation of what you will receive, same design just each one of a kind as each is hand painted. If you place them outside, a liberal coating of clear sealer will insure it's longevity. Painstakingly handmade and hand painted, these are rustic and therefore may have some knicks, scratches, welds, etc. Do not expect a perfect piece. There will be scratches on the paint. That is normal and inherent with these pieces.

We love the design! However, the workmanship and finish are notably cruder than depicted in the photos. Some of the holes were not fully punched out before curing and others have messy ridges baked on around them. The surface of both have a number of scrapes, scratches and divets on them. We suspect they'll still cast a nice light pattern, but haven't been able to install them yet as they do not include any electrical components which we are now ordering separately. Probably would not have ordered them if we knew the actual items are not nearly as precise or elegant as advertised. Definitely expensive for the quality. This Metal Agave Plant does grow on you. I live in Arizona where most plants do not survive the harsh dry seasons. I purchased 2 of these for my front yard. The make-shift packaging was disappointing since the leaves were poking through the box. Some of the leaves were bent and some were scraped. I managed to unbend them. The color is not as shown. Their photo shows a matt patinated pastel turquoise but it's really a glossy bold turquoise color. On the bright side I did appreciate the fullness of the leaf arrangement. I've seen others and these are much better quality. I also liked the size. It does look nice in the yard and the best part is no watering. All metal cactus sculpture. True to height. Looks great in our desert landscape backyard. The problem I had was that upon opening the box, one of the yellow stems was broken off. Took a picture for the return. No problem, Wayfair sent a replacement out immediately. Surprised they didn’t want the broken one returned. They said to 1. keep it, 2. donate it, or 3. throw it away. Well we kept it and my wife just used the broken pieces elsewhere in her garden. To protect it from our blazing sun here, I sprayed it with a clear coat of sun protection. Will have to wait til the end of summer to see how it holds up. If it wasn’t for the first one being broken, I would have rated 5 stars, but 5 stars for the speed of the replacement.. B. Newhouse. If you place them outside, a liberal coating of clear sealer will insure it's longevity. Painstakingly handmade and hand painted, these are rustic and therefore may have some knicks, scratches, welds, etc. There may be scratches on the paint. That is normal and inherent with these rustic handmade pieces. The color of the flowers may vary. Keep that in mind.

I looked everywhere for some Arizona designs. So happy to find these Kokopeli designs. We had just painted our house so I had plenty of leftover paint. Once I set everything up, I decided the best mode of attack would be to spray paint in copper. We took out the "guts" and sprayed the whole thing. Then took the trim from our house and used that for the trim areas. They look fabulous. If you do the same thing, when you put the tape on to paint the trim, be sure to press down really well (I did not and had to do touch up on the copper) because of the texture on the sconce.
